About Us
Mansfield Cares began in 1999 with a goal of providing grocery store vouchers to local people in need during the holiday season. With the increased support of the community, we were able to expand our role as “Mansfield’s Safety Net” to provide aid for:
The children of MISD through:
- A Back to School Shoe Program
- School Supplies Program
- Multi-Level College Scholarship Fund
- Donations for the PTA Clothes Closet and Feed the Kids summer program
The community with:
- Un-adopted angels from the Angel Tree
- Home repairs and living expenses
- Daycare for children of single parents
- Assisting local food banks
- Free medical, dental and optical care through our newly opened facility - The Linda Nix Family Caring Place located at 901 W. Broad St.
- Free prescription drugs
